The SHAPED year concludes with the Hatfield Award. This is awarded to those who have demonstrated efforts in their personal development through involvement in university life. There are six categories applicants are assessed against:
College as a Scholarly Community
Community Engagement and Outreach
Development of Academic Skills
To achieve Bronze, Silver, and Gold, students must fulfil three, four, and five categories respectively. The College Module counts as two providing the minimum level of attendance is met.
To apply, submit a 250-word summary, outlining how you have participated in three, four, or five categories, and how this has contributed to your personal development. Applications must be submitted via the online application form, which can be found here. The deadline for application is Friday 9th June 2017.
Awardees will be invited to a dinner on Wednesday 14th June 2017 to join fellow recipients in celebration.
